I just installed the Beta3 and what I see is not exciting me. Maybe if I create more profiles it might get better and I'm hoping I'm wrong with my first assessment because the control panel seems much easier for users but the front page is ........... I hope it's easy to redesign the style but if it's anything like v4 I'm not looking forward to that.

OH I hope I'm wrong with my first assessment.

After working with v5 I've seen nothing that makes me want to upgrade. There is just way to much work to try to make this functional for me. I've tried setting up new accounts and still haven't gotten the confirmation email. As much as I like the people with JamRoom I just don't feel I can support the upgrade at this time.

Dummy content can be created by changing the setting in the jrDeveloper module.

Thanks for the feedback - one thing that is important to keep in mind at this time is the jrElastic skin that you see right now is fairly simple - it's not a full "music site" skin like you see with JR4 (Nova, etc.) - JR5 can build a lot more than just music sites and you'll see probably even simpler skins than jrElastic, as well as other skins that are designed for non-music websites (photo sharing, blogging, etc).

We do plan to have JR5 versions of some of the JR4 skins, so maybe one of those will be more suited to what you're looking for an audio/video centered site.

Thanks!

- Brian
