I need someone to build a module for my site and check that everything works fine before it's launched. I use Jamroom 5 with Iskin3. The description of the module can be found in this discussion : http://www.jamroom.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=42258

To summarize, I need to be able to create products as .zip files and sell them on my site. Within one form, the user uploads his zip file, gives it a price, fills a description and a few fields (genre, software, etc...) uploads an image, uploads an audio file which will be a demo of the product. Then I want to be able to sort and search the products as if they were audio files.

PM me if you are interested. Thanks !

As we said in the other thread, this can all be done already using the jrFile module and its Form Designer.
It took me 10 minutes to set this up -
http://paul.jamroomnetwork.com/JR5/admin/file/2/my-file-set
(That'll be $25 please Wink )
Seriously, go to the Create File page and click on the Form Designer button and add the fields you want.
Then in the ACP go to the jrFile module and click on its language tab and fine tune the text for what your users see.

Hi,

I finally got some time to try the form designer to solve my little problem. Indeed it is very nice and powerful. Although I still have a few questions. Here's what I did so far :
I tried to modify the "Create Audio" form instead of the "Create File" one in order to create my form because what I want to display is the audio demos.
- I renamed the audio_album field into "Product name" as I'm thinking about using the Album feature to have my audio file and the .zip file linked in a bundle (I hope I'm right here).
- Then I added an audio_pack field to upload my .zip file
Now I have this form :

My problems :
- I want to remove the "bundle only" option. To me, the audio file and the .zip file have to be bundled by default.
- I want that when someone buys the product, the whole album is downloaded. Not only the audio file.

I hope it is clear enough. Thanks for your help !

The "Bundle Only" checkbox is there to stop the item showing in the listings. If something is checked "Bundle Only" then it will not display in the listings.

The thinking behind this: "You might want to have some products that you only want to sell in a bundle, so dont want them showing up in regular listings."

It is put there by the jrFoxyCartBundle module and turning that module off will remove that option from everywhere.

OK, thanks Michael, I get it now. I think I will just disable the bundles for now.
My other concern is how can I make sure that the person who will buy the product will download the .zip file and not only the audio file ?

Sorry to insist but I really need to know how to do this and if it's not possilble, then I need to find a developer to create a module for me.

Unless I'm missing something, I still think this is best done with the jrFile module. That way the zip file is what is being bought, and downloaded, and the audio file is just a 'sales aid'!!
See my post above.

Ok, but then, how can I display the files as audio files using the audio demo ? I guess that's a lot of template tweaking. Plus I would have loved to be able to use the charts system that already works with the audio files.
That's why if there was an easy way to do it with the "create audio" form instead of the "create file" one, it would make things much easier for me.
If that's not possible, then I'll try with the jrFile like you suggest. Hoping that I can get the same result in the end...

Let me think about this again. There are several ways of doing this - just got to decide the one of least resistance!!

Sorry - Should have replied to this before.
Yes - For the next release of JR5 I've add FoxyCart support to modules created by the jrAparna module.
Basically, you create a basic module with Aparna, then using the form designer, add in file fields for the zip to be downloaded, and a sample MP3 file, plus any other required fields. You then add a 'xxx_file_item_price' text field (xxx is your module prefix). FoxyCart will see this price field and allow it to be sold, and the zip file to be subsequently downloaded.
I'll do a more detailed 'how to' ready for then next JR5 release.

That sounds awesome !
Will I need somebody to create the module with Aparna or is it something easy to do ?
And do you have an idea on when this next release will be ready ?
Can't wait to see that !
