Cluster Server Setup Error

I am trying to setup a cluster server but encountered an error.

Code
an error was encountered installing the Cluster Server:

ERROR: unable to write config/cluster.cfg.php file - verify directory write permissions

I am running php 5.3 in fast/cgi mode. I checked the file/folder permissions and it is 755. I even tried giving the config folder 777 permission and still getting the same error.

Any idea how to solve this. I am running Jamroom 4.2.6.

Make sure your config/cluster.cfg.php file is CHOMD to 644

Hope this helps,
Douglas

I couldn't find that file in my config folder. So I added one with 644 permissions. Still no luck

By the way, is this file supposed to be on "master" or the "cluster" server.
I did it on master server

I could be wrong, but I believe the cluster.cfg.php file is created when you install the Cluster-Conversion Pack. If you do not see one, then you may need to reinstall the Cluster Pack.

Hope this helps,
Douglas

I don't think its a permission issue. jamroom is easily able to make changes on settings.cfg.php which is located in the same folder with same file permissions.

I think there is separate issue pertaining to the cluster server pack. I re-installed the pack and tried again. I am being unsuccessful so far.

I think there is an issue with the cluster server pack or I am doing something completely wrong.

The file needs to be on your cluster server, in the config folder.

This is what my cluster.cfg.php file looks like... I replaced the info with *'s, you'll need to make sure your information is correct.

Code
<?php
# Jamroom Cluster Server Config file
$cluster['my_server'] = '**********'; /* IP address for the cluster server  */
$cluster['my_dbname'] = '*********';
$cluster['my_dbuser'] = '**********';
$cluster['my_dbpass'] = '**********';
$cluster['mserver_url'] = '**********';
$cluster['mserver_ip'] = '***********'; /* IP address for the master server  */
?>

Hope this helps,
Douglas

I found that the folder "cluster" that is supposed to be in JR cluster pack is missing even if I downloaded fresh from Jamroom website.

I created a new folder then the permission issue I had been facing seems to have gone. Then comes up a new error for ffmpeg

"/httpdocs/tools/ffmpeg' has size=8119649 instead of 8120292 "

I am running jamroom on 64bit Cent OS operating system. Does this have anything to do with this error?

You'll need to make sure and upload the ffmpeg binary in binary mode and CHMOD to 755.

Hope this helps,
Douglas
