How do I add a new block/box to the main page?

Thank you,

It depends which skin you are using, and which part of the page you want it to appear in, but look at the template files in your active skin directory. If you are using Nova the relevant files are jr_index.tpl, jr_header.tpl, jr_footer.tpl.

The header and the footer are included in all pages, so if you want something to appear on only the home page you would use Smarty to code what you want.

I'm using Cobalt3 and I want to put HTML code in a block on the right side of main page with my internet stream information.

How do I create a block to copy and paste the code to?

I would do it by putting the html in a template and then including that in jr_index.tpl

In the Cobalt3 skin, the side of the main page is "jr_overall_footer.tpl" is it not?

ex:

<div class="head_2">Your Header Info </div>
<div class="body_2"> Your actual stuff </div>

Just find the <div> tags above and below to get a feel of what you want it to look like.
