Hi Brian,

3 easy cakes for you. Here we go:

1) Will there be any Joomla 3.1 Bridge for JR5?

2) Will it be possible to import pre-existing Joomla accounts to JR5? (We have a working joomla site and we would like to import existing users to our new JR5)

3) Will it have the autologin function meaning... once logged into Joomla, you are automatically logged into JR5 and vice-versa?

Thanks

I don't think we have any current plans to make any 'bridges' for JR5 so it might be a project for an enterprising JR5 module developer?

We haven't actually done any bridges in JR5 - however it should actually be easier to build than in JR4 due to JR5's triggers. Any bridges created by us would happen after the first non-beta JR5 release.

Note that just like in JR4, if you want users to be able to log into Joomla and have them also be logged in to your JR5, that would require modifications to Joomla, not Jamroom.

Hope this helps!

- Brian

Probably will, but tons of other stuff also needs doing before we get to it. "Write docs for what we have" vs "build a bridge for Joomla" hmmm..... Which benefits the most people? Docs win.

and that sort of thinking will usually win out in most cases. So it could be a while yet.

If its important to you to have the Joomla bridge done, you might need to build it or find someone to build it if its urgent.
