People are having a hard time seeing the signup form in the popup box when they click "Sign Up", some people see nothing but a blank popup box. I know what they are experiencing because sometimes it does it to me also, but not always so it's really weird.

If you check this page
http://mymusicrecords.com/index.php?t=signup

you can see that I have the signup form on a regular page, but there is no way to submit the form. Do you know which file the 'Submit' and 'Cancel' button are on when you click the signup button? I really need to add a link to the left of the buttons that says something like, "Trouble signing up, click here" at the bottom of the signup box.

I really appreciate it. All I need to know is which file the code is located in for those two buttons at the bottom of the signup form.

it should be in your signup_form.tpl
I looked at your source code...the submit button and cancel button code is there on that page...but it could be that they are hiding behind your banner.,,
if thats the case you may have to place it more to the right hand side of the signup form in stead of below.

I compare your page against the maestro demo page in n8flex.com

also...

do you have the following below on your signup_form
if you don't...tht is what you may be missing

{if $buttons != 'off'}
<button type="button" onclick="jrSubmitSignupForm();">Sign up</button>
<button type="button" onclick="closePopup();">Cancel</button>
{/if}

I also look and it's not in jr_header.tpl

I really need to add a link to the left of the "Submit" button. See sometimes the form doesn't show properly to users, they only see a blank box, but no matter what they always see the "Submit" button. So if I add a link to the left that will take them to a normal html signup page if they are having trouble seeing the form.

I'm paying for advertising to get people to the site and when they click to signup and they can't see the form, they leave and do not come back.

I've spent about 4 hours looking for those buttons code. If you want I could allow access to my hosting cpanel so you could login and see if you could find it.

I'm confused, what does the .htaccess have to do with the "submit" and "cancel" buttons? Do you not know where the code is Nate for the two buttons on the signup form?

These things are loaded via ajax. The skin instructions include a link to proper set up of the .htaccess file.

The code for those buttons have to be on some file somewhere and I cannot find it, it is not on the signup_form.tpl where the code for the actual signup form is.

Those buttons are loaded via an ajax call. They are created with javaScript

Okay awesome found it,

I'm horrible at Javascript, so if I wanted to add link text to the left of the submit button what code would I add to this?;

function signup() {
$("#popup").dialog("destroy");
$('#popup').load(jamroom_url + '/index.php?t=signup_form',function(){
$("#popup").dialog({
resizable: false,
height:380,
width:650,
modal: true,
show: 'blind',
hide: 'explode',

buttons: {
'Sign Up': function() {
jrSubmitSignupForm();
$('#signup_res').text('one moment please...');
},
Cancel: function() {
$(this).dialog('close');
}
}
});
});
}

///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

var memberMode = false;
function jrSubmitSignupForm() {
if(memberMode) {
var b = $('#bname').val();
}
$('#band_name').val(b)
var f_options = {
target: '#signup_res',
dataType: 'xml',
success: jrProcessSignupXML
};
$('#signup_form').ajaxSubmit(f_options);
}

You are making this way harder than it should be. Your aim should not be to rebuild a the form but to figure out why it's not working properly. Rewriting is just digging deeper.

Have you checked your error log? Environment Settings? .htaccess file?
