Question. wondering how does the split test work when JR is in the root and you want to perform a split test on your home page. In the docs it says to create an index.html, but JR function using index.php?

Yeah thats a good question. You need 2 pages to do a split test.

so something like
index.php?t=page_1
index.php?t=page_2

Then your incoming links can split test between page_1 and page_2

If you wanted to make the top page of your site stay as the page they were allocated when they came in on a split test link then you would need to do some custom programming to detect the cookie setting that they have and dynamically load the page you want.

The way its intended is for say on the front page of your site you have a "Special Offer" link. That Special Offer link is a split test link and half the users go to one "Special Offer" page and the other half go to another "Special Offer" page each time they come to the top page and click the link. The page will be remembered and they will return to that page each time they click the "Special Offer".

Hi Webster,

I found myself in the situation of wanting to split test some pages just like you asked about.

I found that Adtrackz is good for testing links, but not so great for testing _pages_. So I built a new module apSplitTest

You can read about what it does in the announcement
http://www.jamroom.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=40449

or if you already have the 'Jamroom Affiliate Marketing Pack' then you can download your pack again from the marketplace and find the new module in there. Smile
