Event Calendar Location Link doesn't work

Just testing out the event system, and am confused by this...

When I click on the calendar link, it does display the calendar, and my test event shows up; when I click the date, it lists the band and the location link, but the location link doesn't go anywhere...nor should it, I guess, since there is nowhere to put the location details when creating the event.

Do I need the club guide to make that work??? I can understand that...Really, why is it listed as a link if there is nowhere to link to?

Sorry if I'm misunderstanding this...

Must have something set up wrong...

If I go to artist menu...Calendar...Add New Event, I can add a location for the event, but that's it...Do I put an entire address there??? Or maybe I missed some setup somewhere?

Thanks for the reply...I feel so dumb sometimes...!

Well, I think I filled it in properly... Street Number / Street Name / City / Zip and I get no map.

I would appreciate if someone could shed some light on this. Thanks.

The plot thickens....

Using the the search function located below the tabs "Upcoming Concerts" "Concerts by Rating" "Concert Locations" does not return any results for data contained either in the event title, event location, event date or event description.

Someone please tell what I am doing wrong.

If the event has already past, then it will not show in a search list, I think the search is setup to only show new events or events that have not passed yet.

Hope this helps,
Douglas

You'll either need to upload an image for your event or login as the admin and go to your Admin Options > System Config > System Skins > Nova Settings and set the require_images field to 0.

You could also modify your skins/Nova/concerts.tpl template and change this:

Code
{jr_ranking mode="event" pagebreak=$smarty.config.default_pagebreak location=$location require_image=$smarty.config.require_images}

to this:

Code
{jr_ranking mode="event" pagebreak=$smarty.config.default_pagebreak location=$location}

Hope this helps,
Douglas

Thank you Doug. Setting the require_images field to zero worked. I have looked through your JR4 documentation and did not find that answer. Is there a step by step manual for end users on 'how to'...

I don't think there is a step by step for the end user... there are just the docs and the FAQ section, and of course the forums.

Hope this helps,
Douglas
