Arrow create a new file and call it da-DA.php

then add the the langauge that you created to it...then save it

Arrow find the following in your Nova.cfg which is in your skins/Nova

; You can enable/disable the small language flags in the footer by removing them from here - this will also remove the link to be able to change to that language. Leave this setting blank to use no flags.
show_languages = "en-US,es-ES,ru-RU,da-DA"

Arrow in your lang directory
upload the file that should be name da-DA.php

okay - located the error. I'm in again. Now this is the case:

I have made a language filemysite\skins\nova\lang\dk-DK.php

I have translated the full file: mysite\language\danish.language.php

in the file: mysite\skins\nova\nova.cfg - in this I have added show_languages = "en-US,de-DE,es-ES,ru-RU,dk-DK"

in the file.: mysite\skins\nova\jr_footer I have added the lines

{/if}
{if strstr($smarty.config.show_languages,'DK')}
<a href="{$JAMROOM_URL}/{$jamroom_index}?lang=dk-DK&amp;ref=1"><img src="{$JAMROOM_URL}/images/flags/dk.png" alt="dk" title="dk" class="m_outline"></a>
{/if}

And the flag appears and I can click it.

in the file: mysite\config\language.cfg I have added the line: 'danish.lang.php' => 'Danish',

This is the result.:

Indexpage: ALL menus, bottoms, captions are ALL english. I have 5 flags now, but nothing happens when I click the danish flag.

Controlpanel: Almost everything is now in danish - HOWEVER the danish letters are not shown correctly - any ideas ?

My installation is a 4.2.4 installation with bonuspack and powerpack. It is NOT an updated installation - the database is installed from 4.2.4 which should fix the utf-8 problems which were present previously.

Now - any idea what I am missing here ?

I searched in the the forum for similar cases and found this thread.:

http://www.jamroom.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=36165&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=letters&start=30

but even if I add the line into .htaccess it doesn't change. I will check the databases behind...

I have chosen to change the danish letters in language.lang.php and dk-DK.lang.php as follows.:

"&aelig;" æ
"&AElig;" Æ
"&Oslash;" Ø
"&oslash;" ø
"&Aring;" Å
"&aring;" å

It's not exactly the optimal way of doing things, but it works and that's what matters to me.

I need to translate a little more, and in case jamroom will trade the languate files for an upgrade, then let me know and I will translate the rest. Everything is translated line for line and it took around 10 hours + plus time spend on these danish letter problems.
